Moxibustion

Share

Unlike traditional moxibustion, this method places traditional Chinese medicine on the navel and uses a far-infrared therapeutic device and a warm pack to bring the “qi” into the body through heat and allow it to absorb through the skin or mucous membranes. The medicine acts on the symptoms of the disease and achieves the purpose of the treatment. This is clinically applicable to diarrhea, menstrual pain, chronic pelvic inflammatory disease, allergies, urticaria, loss of appetite in children, infertility, etc. It is recommended to take Chinese medicine alongside Moxibustion for the most optimal results.

Q&A
1. What is Moxibution? How does it work?
Moxibustion is a kind of TCM external treatment, and we ameliorate the traditional treatment without burning mugwort leaves to prevent skin burns. We place the patch on the navel with the thinnest part of the skin; therefore, the herb can be absorbed through the skin most effectively. We treat patients with this therapy to warm Yang, tonify the kidney, move qi, and improve circulation.

2. Who can receive Moxibustion?
Please discuss this with your doctor before receiving moxibustion. If you are suffering from skin inflammation, ulcers, damaged epidermis, or have a severe cold, moxibustion will not be recommended for treatment.
