What is the IVF Subsidy Program?

The Ministry of Health and Welfare will implement the expansion of reproductive subsidies for infertile test-tube babies on July 1, 2021. NUWA Fertility Center is an approved artificial reproductive institution.

According to the content of the Artificial Reproductive Technology Subsidy Program for expanding IVF (commonly known as test-tube baby), the relevant subsidy measures Q&A are sorted out as follows:


 Applicant Qualifications:
★Couples who have been diagnosed infertile by a surgeon of an artificial reproduction institution who must accept IVF artificial reproduction technology
★Infertile couples where at least one party has a nationality of the Republic of China and if the wife is under the age of 45

Subsidy Items: 
★IVF is commonly known as the artificial reproductive technology treatment of test-tube babies

Subsidy Amount: 
★Low-income households and low-middle-income households: 
the maximum limit of each subsidy is maintained at NT$150,000
★ Non-low-income households and low, middle-income households:
First-time application: the maximum limit of each subsidy is NT$100,000
Reapply: the maximum limit of each subsidy is NT$60,000

Subsidy percentages for different treatment ranges:
★First time application:
NT$70,000 for egg retrieval without implantation
NT$30,000 for only implantation
NT$100,000 for egg retrieval for embryo implantation

★Reapply:
NT$40,000 for egg retrieval without implantation
NT$20,000 for only implantation
NT$60,000 for egg retrieval for embryo implantation

The institution applies on behalf of the applicant and reviews it online. The detailed implementation rules and applicant process of the IVF subsidy are subject to the official announcement.
