Artificial insemination is a fertility treatment used to deliver sperm directly to the cervix or uterus in hopes of getting pregnant. Sometimes, these sperm are washed or prepared to increase the likelihood of pregnancy. 

Who should receive this treatment?

▪ Those who are diagnosed with infertility
▪ Those with cervical mucus abnormalities
▪ Those with ovulation disorders or endometriosis

1. What’s the success rate for AIH?
It is about 15-20%, depending on the semen amount, motility, and ovum amount.

2. Do I need to lie down after AIH treatment?
You would only need to lie down for 5-10 minutes. 

3. There is some vaginal discharge after the treatment, is it normal?
Vaginal discharge is normal and most women and girls get it. It’s a fluid or mucus that keeps the vagina clean and moist while protecting it from infection.

4. What are some other issues of AIH?
Please set up an appointment during days 1-3 of your menstrual cycle. The ultrasound test, E2, or LH blood test will be necessary to check the follicle condition.
