Subsidies are available for individuals whose fertility is affected by cancer treatment, as determined by a physician. Applications must be submitted within 6 months after the treatment has ended. |
Spouses who are registered residents of Taoyuan but have not yet obtained a Republic of China (Taiwan) identity card are also eligible to apply. Females under 25 years old who have cancer and are assessed by a doctor to be infertile due to the cancer or its treatment (eligible once in a lifetime). Those who have undergone an egg-freezing procedure and meet the subsidy criteria but are unable to obtain eggs due to physical reasons are still eligible for the subsidy (eligible once in a lifetime). |
Subsidies are available for individuals who, as assessed by a physician, may experience impaired fertility due to cancer treatment. A medical certificate issued by the doctor is required. In the same calendar year, egg retrieval, egg freezing, and sperm freezing procedures cannot be used to apply for both this subsidy and the Ministry of Health and Welfare's IVF public funding program at the same time. |
